How much does it cost to travel in East Asia?

If you are travelling in a pair through this buzzing country you can expect to pay at least $100 each per day. China and Hong Kong cost around half as much as Japan to backpack through. From China, it is possible to cross into Laos and Vietnam and continue your adventure throughout South East Asia.
