How much does it cost to travel in Eastern Europe?
In recent years, Eastern Europe has tempted an increasing number of backpackers to experience its grand buildings, try traditional food and visit towns and regions steeped in history.
The low costs are a big draw for budget-conscious travellers; in Romania, Poland and parts of Russia you can backpack on just under $50 a day.
Some countries in Eastern Europe such as Croatia boast beautiful, barely discovered beaches and rolling countryside. Take a trip before it becomes popular with the masses.
