How much does it cost to travel in South East Asia?
Every year thousands of backpackers flock to South East Asia's idyllic beaches, bustling cities and dense jungles. Some stay for months or even years due to the low cost of living.
It's possible to eat, drink and sleep on less than $30 a day in Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand. Venturing into Malaysia, Singapore or the Philippines will set you back some extra dosh, mainly due to the cost of accommodation.
